Robots by Application:

 1.Military Robots:

• Bomb Disposal Robots(middle pic)
• Different Transportation Robots
• Reconnaissance Drones
• robots initially created for millitary purpose.(1st pic)

 2.Industrial Robots: 

• Welding
• Painting
• Assembly
• Pick and place(such as packing, pallentizing and SMT)
•  product inspection, testing.

(NOTE:a robot may perform more then one task mentioned earlier)

 3.Domestic Robots:

The Genral classification in this:

• robotic Vacuum cleaner
• robotic Pool cleaner 
• sweepers 
• gutter cleaners

 4.Medical Robots:

    They are in most telemanipulators, which use the surgon's actions on one side to control the "effectors" on the other side.

 5.Space Robots:

• Canadarm
• Mars rovers

 6.Hobby and Competition:

•  Line Follower
•  Sumo-bots
•  Robots made just for fun and robots made for competition(Special Purpose).
